Baby Pram Types
Your baby’s pram is a very important item to take into consideration and as time passes and your baby grows bigger, you may find that you need more than just one.
Safety and your baby’s comfort are the two most important things to consider when choosing a baby pram. However, you need to keep yourself in mind also. After all, you are the one who will be lifting, carrying and pushing the pram around. So, look for the type of pram that will make your life easier.
This type of baby pram is available in different styles, colors and designs. They usually have padded seats for comfort that also recline. Most of these strollers come with under seat storage and many have a sun shade. Seating can vary from forward facing to rear facing, and some can have the option to do both.
Car Seat prams
Somewhat similar to the Standard prams, these models consist of a lightweight frame that allow you to attach a car seat. Simply remove your car seat (with the baby in it) from the base inside your car and just snap it onto the stroller frame. This is a good option for parents that know they will be taking their baby in or out the car often. They fold up easily and need very little space, but are only practical for infants up to six months or a year. After that your baby will be too big to use one these strollers safely.
Lightweight Baby pram
More suited for older babies and toddlers because of the lack of head support and the ability to recline fully, the lightweight umbrella pram is a no-frills simple stroller. They fold easily up and take up very little space. They are less expensive than other models and often used as a backup baby pram for traveling.
The Classic Baby pram
This type of baby pram is reminiscent of the traditional English pram. They offer a flat and ample sleeping surface for your baby. The classic styled baby carriage or pram often have large spoke wheels with inflatable tires that can actually be removed for servicing, These carriages are well suited for all babies from birth to up to three years old.
