Some Sleeping tips for when getting ready to go back to school
Sleeping is just as important for children like food, liquids and safety are.
If a child does not get enough sleep it can cause drowsiness, stressing, restless, and frustrated and that can cause behavioural problems, learning and social behaviours.
About a week before school starts, make sure that the kids start going to bed earlier.
Once you have established a sleeping schedule, try sticking to the schedule. This is easier with smaller children than bigger kids are.
Every night just before bedtime, have a relaxing time, a bath, bedtime story, or if they are old enough to lay in bed and read by themselves.
Have a calm and peaceful environment, ideally, the bedrooms should be dark, a comfortable bed to sleep on, and the room temperature should not be too hot or too cold.
Do lunches, get clothes ready and pack school bags the night before. Therefore, your child can sleep a little bit later in the morning.
Set the example for your kids that getting enough sleep is extremely important for them. You cannot function with not enough rest.
Most importantly, once you have a routine stick to it children fall out of routines quickly when their routines get interrupted.
